Custom Leather upgrades for the do it yourselfer!

Material Requirements

Regarding the FAA requirements.  Please, if you plan on using your local auto trim facility or a friend who wants to learn to sew, or better yet a company that stresses we do cars, boats and home upholstery......then make sure they understand FAA Part 43. and they must at least comply to FAA part 23.853 for burn requirements.  The photo below shows what can happen in seconds, this Piper Commanche was total garbage in less then 5 minutes., due to automotive grade materials and foam used in the home upholstery business........nobody thought it would make a difference.......think again.

This Cessna seating came into the shop with these wooden inlays to represent seat support and or blatters.  Note the wire job as well......this is not how it is done, both cockpit seats came in this way.

This certainly is not in complaince with Part 43.

Make sure you are in compliance with the burn spec's established with the FAA.  Your GA aircraft falls within Part 23.583  or Part 25.583. Wood burns and promotes lots of smoke.

This Piper seat frame came into our shop, client complained of sitting to low in seat and foam was not working.  This is what we found .....garbage.  We will show you each step of the way what is going on with your interior.

This is real comfort, a competitor layered this type of foam for this customer.
